Our log style, used for construction of our log cabins, is a Swedish Cope log. Swedish-cope logs are round on the interior and exterior, and include a half-moon shaped groove cut in the bottom of each log. This allows logs to firmly stack on top of each other.
Corners are then Saddle-notched — typically used where two round logs overlap each other near the corners — to securely stack and lock the log courses together, making for a stable and secure log home.
During construction, foam tape is placed between each log which creates a weatherproof seal allowing for a home with superior insulative value, soundness and beauty.
Let Triumph Log Homes show you how sound & secure a Swedish-cope log home is.
